5 top restaurnats for brunch in kaiserslautern

If the mention of Sunday brunch automatically brings to mind bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys, you may have to adjust your thinking while in Kaiserslautern. Here in K-town, brunch is all about a never-ending feast of food.

You don’t want to waste a valuable weekend day at a restaurant that doesn’t deserve your time, so here at Go K-town we have helped make the selection for you.

Here are my top 5 Top Restaurants for Brunch in Kaiserslautern and the surrounding area:

Restaurant Julien

The first time I visited Julien for brunch, I did not come prepared. I should have cleared my entire day for this sumptuous meal. Julien breaks brunch down into its two literal parts – breakfast and lunch – over the many courses it lays out on the buffet spread. The first courses offer more traditional breakfast fare, while later courses, served after 12 p.m., feature more meat and lunch fare. Brunch costs €22.50 per person and you can easily eat your money’s worth. Two big helpful tips for future visitors to this brunch: You will definitely want to make a reservation for Restaurant Julien. Sunday brunch often fills up weeks in advance. And secondly, wear stretchy pants!

Brauhaus am Markt

Brauhaus am Markt is the best place to enjoy brunch al fresco with a small group of friends. The restaurant has a ton of outdoor seating on nice days and it is the perfect place to enjoy this delicious brunch buffet. Brauhaus’ brunch buffet is meat heavy, but there are options for every person in your group. Tip: Wait until the main crowd heads out before getting a waffle. They have a DIY waffle iron set-up and the line can get long early in the day. Brunch costs €10 per person.

Tamarillo

If you want a side of Spanish flair with your Sunday brunch, head on over to Tamarillo. In addition to the traditional brunch offerings like waffles, pastries, cheese and sausage plates, Tamarillo also serves paella and a selection of warm tapas. Brunch costs €9.50 per person excluding drinks or €15.50 per person with coffee, tea, and orange juice.

Sander’s Café

Sander’s Café in Landstuhl serves a gourmet buffet every Sunday. With fresh fruit, pastries, and warm dishes, Sander’s Café hopes to have everything you need to fully enjoy your morning.

Café Konditorei at Hotel Goldinger

Whether sitting inside or at the adorable garden café, Konditorei offers the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a delicious brunch. Thanks to its attached bakery, the café offers delightful baked goods, along with a traditional buffet, as well as eggs and pancakes made to order.
